I just had to post today. It is now early a.m., August 9th, but I'm really posting for August 8th.
August 8th is my spiritual birthday. I gave my heart to the Lord on August 8, 1983 at 16 years of age. That day was the culmination of eight months of searching...searching to know that I was saved beyond doubt. A film shown at my teen group's activity on Saturday, August 6th brought everything to a head...then Monday, 8/8 became my VICTORY day!

You know, with each earthly birthday (May 5) that passes, I become more aware that I am getting older. But when each August 8th comes around, I feel yet more triumphant. After all, how does one get "old" if one has eternal life???
